The reason for my having chosen this particular book over any of the other ones is rather simple one — and quite literally: it is simply one of the simplest to read books in the New Testament (language- and grammar-wise). And as my Greek proficiency has yet to increase to the point at which I will be able to easily read and translate books such as Hebrews, I decided it would be a good place to continue my endeavour of translating the entirety of the New Testament.</p>

<p>And on the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee and Jesus’ mother was there; and even Jesus and his disciples were called into (invited to) the wedding. And being without wine (running out of wine, wanting wine), Jesus’ mother says to him, “They do not have any wine.” And Jesus says to her, “My dear woman, why do we have to do with this (lit. what to me and to you)? My time has not yet come.” And his mother says to the waiters, “Do whatever he tells you to do!” There were six water jars made out of stone — for the cleansing of the Jews — standing (around) and they were able to hold approximately two or three measures (80 - 120 litres) (of liquid) each. And Jesus tells them, “Fill the jars with water!”; and they filled them completely. And he tells them, “Draw out (some water) now and carry it to the master of the feast.” And they carried it over; and as the master of the feast tasted the water, it turned into wine and he did not know where it came from — the waiters carrying the water, however, knew. The master of the feast then calls the bridegroom and tells him, “Everyone (usually) drinks the good wine and — when they are (sufficiently) drunk — they then drink the lesser wine. You, however, have kept the good wine up until now.” This marked the beginning of the miracles which Jesus (did) in Cana of Galilee and revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him. </p>

<p>I have finally taken it upon myself to continue working on my website, albeit slowly. As I have been rather busy as of late — both with school and work — and have not really had the inclination to continue working on my book or my website, I have done but very little work on both my website and my new book. I have, however, slowly begun being more productive concerning this as of late — though God knows why that has happened. This does have the, hopefully positive, implication of my website receiving some more updates.</p>

<p>I highly urge you to check out the page regarding my translation of the <a href="/translations/GNT/gospels/john/index.php">Gospel of John</a>, as I have added my translation — including the original and the transliteration — of the first three chapters of this book. The page containing information about <a href=/books/gospelofjohn.php">my new book</a> has also been updated to include some more in-depth information than it did before. Additionally, all my books can now be found on my own Gitea instance, <a href="https://git.marvinjohanning.de">git.marvinjohanning</a>. Everything found thereon is — as of yet — but a mirror of my GitHub repositories. I do, however, believe that having an off-site backup, so to speak, is advantageous; and should I ever on a whim decide to ditch GitHub — as I have, in the past, ditched GitLab —, my project will continue living on within the above-mentioned domain.</p>
